Premier League Enterprise is an exciting and innovative programme designed to inform and educate young people in the area of business and enterprise using Stoke City Football Club as a case study.
Typically, the Core Programme is delivered over 11 workshops both in a school or education establishment and at the Club over a minimum of 20 hours of direct contact time.
In the first year of the programme, the Education and Lifelong Learning Team of Stoke City's Community Trust supported 309 pupils to participate in this initiative and year 2 has seen this increase to 329 pupils.
2016/17 SCHOOLS INFORMATION
Premier League Enterprise is funded for a third year and during the 2016/17 academic year the Community Trust is looking to work with more schools and reach even more pupils.
In the 2016/17 academic year the programme will work with a total of 375 young people across 10 different schools.
This course can include:
- Tour of the bet365 Stadium
- Celebration event at the stadium or school
- A Q&A session with a Club employee
- 10 interactive classroom sessions
- A Stoke City FC Certificate of Participation for every pupil
All delivery of sessions, events and stadium tours are fully funded and come at no cost to the school. Additionally, we can offer an OCR Enterprise Academy Entry Level Certificate in Business and Enterprise. This would be funded by the school but is optional.
Delivery focuses on Year 7, 8 and 9 and the programme aims to achieve:
- Improved confidence and self esteem
- Improved attitude and motivation in school
- Developed understanding of the essentials of business
We are currently in the process of identifying cohorts and confirming suitable delivery dates. Some dates are now confirmed so interested schools are encouraged to make contact at the earliest convenience.
