MICHAEL OWEN was crowned Stoke City's 2012 Master Chef when he emerged triumphant from the heat of the kitchen at the Britannia Stadium last night.
Club photographer Phil Greig was there to capture all the best moments as the England striker came out on top in a contest with his City team-mates Thomas Sorensen and Michael Kightly before 300 guests who were dining in the Tony Waddington Suite.
As you will see from our Facebook gallery, all three players and celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo had a great time and provided sizzling entertainment for those who were fortunate to be there to share in what is now one of the highlights of Club's event calendar.
It all began in mid-afternoon for the three wannabe chefs as they were offered some valuable tips by D'Acampo and the three sous chefs who were on hand.
Each of the players were asked to prepare a starter, main course and dessert, all of them dishes which featured on a sumptuous menu of pan seared scallops, pan fried fillet steak and tiger prawns and finally white chocolate and vanilla cheesecake.
Before Owen was named as the winner of Gino's Stoke Kitchen, an auction of signed memorabilia from the players raised a substantial sum for the Club's Community Fund.
