Academy Preview

JOHN PERKINS' Under-18 squad are back in action on Saturday afternoon hoping to build on their first away win of the season when they travel to the Academy of Light to face Sunderland (12:30pm).

The Potters were victorious on their previous league outing two weeks ago after claiming all three points away to Middlesbrough courtesy of Yusuf Coban's late strike.

City will head to Wearside wanting to avenge a 2-0 defeat against the Black Cats at Clayton Wood earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, the development squad will make the trip to Southport's Merseyside Community Stadium on Monday evening to take on Everton in the Barclays U21 Premier League (kick-off 7.00pm).

Glyn Hodges' side will be looking to turn around their fortunes in front of goal after failing to find the back of the net in their previous three fixtures.

However, the team can take comfort from their most recent display against Fulham after holding the league leaders to a goalless draw at Clayton Wood.
