US INTERNATIONAL Juan Agudelo made his debut for FC Utrecht last weekend after his loan move to the Dutch club until the end of the season was finalised earlier this month.
The 21-year-old came off the bench with 32 minutes remaining to make his first competitive appearance since leaving New England Revolution in November.
It wasn't to be a dream debut for the forward, however, as Utrecht slipped to a narrow 1-0 away defeat against Roda JC Kerkrade and dropped to 11th place in the Eredivisie.
Juan will be be looking to make his first home appearance on Sunday as Utrecht host Ajax on Sunday.
Meanwhile, there were a number of players away from the Club on domestic loans who were in action during the week.
Cameron Jerome played the whole game for Crystal Palace as they lifted themselves further away from the Premier League relegation zone with a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Hull City at Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening.
Brek Shea and Michael Kightly, who are on loan spells to Championship sides Barnsley and Burnley respectively, were meanwhile both involved as their sides claimed creditable home draws in midweek.
Shea completed a further 90 minutes for the Tykes as they secured a point from an entertaining 2-2 draw against Blackburn Rovers, whilst Kightly came closest to breaking the deadlock at Turf Moor but his long range effort cannoned off the woodwork as the Clarets had to settle for a share of the spoils against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Elsewhere, Jamie Ness was in action on Tuesday night after being used as a second half substitute for Leyton Orient as Russell Slade's side recorded a 2-0 victory over Coventry City.
Under-21 captain Jordan Keane was the other City player to be involved in midweek after playing for Skril Premier side Tamworth in their 2-0 loss to Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.
