Arnie Appreciates Fans' Support

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC has thanked the fans for their support during yesterday's 3-1 win over West Ham United.

The Austrian forward continued his good run of form and put in arguably his best performance of the season as the Potters earned another three points at the Britannia Stadium.

City came back from one goal down to earn the victory, with Arnautovic also getting his name on the scoresheet in the 69th minute for his second goal of the campaign.

"The fans are incredible - they're so noisy and they spur us on," he told Stoke City Player.

"The coach said it would be a really big game for us today but for the first ten minutes we did not do everything right and they scored.

"From then I think we completely dominated the game so we can be really happy for the three points, not only us but the fans as well.

"I thank them for their support; everybody who loves me I love them back.

"I think in the last month it's been going well.

"I have to get to know the Premier League but I am here and I am enjoying it.

"I hope that we continue like this now and that we make everybody proud."

The triumph over the Hammers, one which made it a first double for Mark Hughes' side this season, lifted the Potters into eleventh position in the Barclays Premier League, level on points with next week's opponents Aston Villa.

Whilst it also extended the gap from the bottom three to nine points, Arnautovic insists the Club are concentrating on themselves and not the sides in the lower reaches of the table.

"We try to do our best every week and we don't look to the other teams and see what they do," he added.

"I think it is a really good three points for us.

"We look to put in a good performance and hopefully we'll finish well this season."

Arnautovic also revealed that the celebrations following his second-half strike were for his brother, who was over in England to join Marko for his birthday.

"It was really special to score today," he added.

"It is my brother's birthday and I scored for the first time here, so for me to score today was amazing."
