Mark Hughes selects first team squad for pre-season tour

MARK HUGHES has named a 23-man party for Stoke City's pre-season training camp in Germany.

The squad will travel to the Traunstein district of Germany tomorrow in preparation for the forthcoming 2014/15 Barclays Premier League season.

Three friendly matches are scheduled during the 12-day stay, with Borussia Monchengladbach, 1860 Munich and Schalke providing the opposition for the Potters.

Goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will join up with the party after the first game against Borussia Monchengladbach following his involvement in this summer's World Cup finals, whilst City's other participants in Brazil will start their pre-season upon the squad's return to England.
