More tickets on sale for much-anticipated gig at Britannia Stadium

ROD STEWART fans will be delighted to hear that an extra 3,000 tickets have gone on sale for the much-anticipated gig at the Britannia Stadium this June.

To meet phenomenal demand the total number of tickets has increased to 22,000.

Rod will visit the home of Stoke City on Saturday 14th June as part of his tour that includes four football stadiums and a cricket ground.

Peter Taylor, concert director of concert promoters, Cuffe & Taylor, said: "We have seen phenomenal demand for tickets and we would urge fans to buy now to avoid disappointment.

"Because of the exceptional demand, we've looked again at the layout of the staging and production areas.

"This has enabled us to release some additional 'production' seats for Stoke to meet the demand. And we're confident these will sell out quickly."

The concerts will mark the music icon's return to the Potteries, where he last appeared with The Faces back in December 1974.

Tickets for the Britannia Stadium show are available from www.ticketline.co.uk or by calling 0844 888 9991, as well as VIP, coach and hotel packages.
