Hughes to check the fitness of Geoff Cameron ahead of Baggies clash

MARK HUGHES will today check on the fitness of Geoff Cameron before finalising his plans for Stoke City’s Premier League encounter with West Brom at the Britannia Stadium tomorrow.

The City boss has revealed to Stoke City Player that the right back returned from World Cup duty with the United States nursing a calf injury.

The problem is not thought to be too serious but it kept Cameron out of the US' final qualifier against Panama on Tuesday.

The 28 year old has been an ever-present in the Premier League for the Potters so far this season and is understandably hoping to maintain that run against Albion.

Hughes told Stoke City Player: "We need to check on Geoff Cameron. He's got a sore calf which didn't allow him to play the second game for the US.

"He erred on the side of caution and hopefully that will prove to be a good decision on Geoff's part and hopefully he'll be ok to play."

Tickets for Saturday's game are available via the usual outlets - by visiting scfcdirect.com, by calling (01782) 367599 or from the Britannia Stadium Ticket Office, the Club's retail outlet in the Potteries Shopping Centre or the newly-opened 'pop up' store in the Roebuck Shopping Centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
