STOKE CITY’S Supporters Council are looking to fill a number of places on the representative body over the next two months.
The process has begun with supporters being invited to stand for four General Seats on the Council before an election is then held for five Specialist Seats.
This democratically-elected representative body has already had a considerable impact in the short time it has been in existence, thus providing supporters with a platform on which they can raise issues with senior representatives of the Club.
“The Supporters Council has had a successful first year, but the more interest there is from fans, the better,” commented Chairman Malcolm Clarke.
“There is now an opportunity for other fans to make a contribution by putting themselves forward as candidates for election to the Council.”
He added: “Those elected to the Supporters Council serve for two years, with approximately half the seats being up for election each year.
“If you would like to discuss how the Council works, please contact myself on 07939 594730 or the Vice Chair Angela Smith on email@example.com.
Those Season Ticket holders or Members putting themselves forward for the General Seats must apply by submitting an election statement of no more than 250 words.
The deadline for applications is midday on Friday 26th April and if there are five or more candidates, then a two week voting period will open on Friday 10th May.
Once the General Seats have been decided, the process of seeking applications for five specialist seats will then commence on Monday 13th May.
Any Season Ticket holder/Member who did not get voted into one of the General Seats will automatically qualify for a Specialist Seat in one of the following categories.
This is subject to the Season Ticket holder/Member being registered in the particular section for the following five categories.
The Specialist Seats are:
- Registered Disabled Supporter
- Season Ticket holder in Q-railing Lower
- Under-18 Season Ticket holder in the Family Stand
- Corporate Member
- Season Ticket holder in the Q-railing Upper Stand

The deadline for the Specialist Seat applications will be 12 midday on Friday 24th May after which there will be a two-week voting period up until Friday 7th June.
