STOKE CITY have bagged their first trophy of the season after the Danish Supporters Club triumphed in the 2014 FA’n Cup Final last weekend.

A 1-0 victory over Real Betis in Copenhagen, Denmark saw the Danish Potters lift the prestigious trophy after displaying a tiki-taka brand of football throughout the seven-a-side tournament.

Danish fan clubs of Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers, Juventus, AS Roma, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Betis all competed against the Potters during the weekend with Lars Bo Kristensen claiming the Goal of the Tournament award and forward Jesper Larsen taking home the Top Goalscorer trophy for City.

Stoke had a tough task to make it out of the group stages after being drawn against European heavyweights Inter Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Blackburn Rovers but two wins and a draw were enough to see them face AS Roma in the quarter-finals.

A tight contest was won 1-0 by the Danish Potters before Juventus were beaten in the semi-finals courtesy of a 3-2 penalty shoot-out win after City’s keeper saved three spot-kicks.

The Potters went into the showpiece final as favourites and with Delilah ringing out from the stands they duly delivered against Betis much to the delight of the 20-man strong post-match pitch invaders who got the party started in the Danish capital.
