STOKE CITY can confirm that defender Danny Collins has departed the Club to join Nottingham Forest.
The 31 year old Wales international links up with the npower Championship outfit for an undisclosed fee, having flown back home from the Potters’ tour of the USA to complete a 3-year deal at the City Ground.
Collins signed for Stoke from Sunderland in August 2009 and went on to make 60 appearances during his three year spell at the Britannia Stadium.
His opportunities of first team football were limited last term, however, featuring on only three occasions against Thun and Valencia in the UEFA Europa League and Crawley Town in the FA Cup.
Loan spells in the Championship with both Ipswich Town and West Ham United ensured he did register 30 appearances, with Collins playing a part in the Hammers’ promotion campaign back to the Barclays Premier League.
The Club would like to wish Danny all the best for the future.
