FILM LOVERS in the local area are in for a treat as a drive-in cinema wheels its way to the Britannia Stadium later this week.
The American-style cinema experience will be descending onto the home of Stoke City to offer the unique way of watching films from the comfort of your own car.
Four classic movies are to be shown over two nights – Friday 20th and Saturday 21st November – in Stoke-on-Trent's first ever event of its type.
Each evening will have a 5.00pm and 9.00pm showing with Home Alone and Top Gun on the Friday being followed up by Toy Story 1 and The Goonies on the Saturday.
Moviegoers will be able to spend a night under the stars watching their favourite flicks for £25 per car, regardless of occupancy. A cinema-style menu will also be available.
A giant screen will be set-up on the North car park at the Britannia Stadium with cars simply driving in and lining up next to one another. A radio frequency will then allow visitors to tune in the film's sounds to their car stereo so there's no need to keep your windows open!
'Pay on the gate' cash-only entry will be available on the night with online bookings up until midnight on Thursday.
