First team duo join Under-21 squad for tonight's game with Arsenal

FIRST TEAM duo Maurice Edu and Florent Cuvelier are both set to play in tonight's Under-21s clash against Arsenal.

The midfielders will join up with Glyn Hodges' squad as two over-age players for the game against the Gunners at Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium (kick off 7.00pm).

USA international Edu is stepping up his rehabilitation following a hernia operation in the summer.

It is the Under-21s' first home game of the new 2013/14 season following last Monday's match away at FA Youth Cup holders Norwich City.

James Alabi got himself on the scoresheet for the Potters but it was the Canaries who triumphed 4-1.

Meanwhile, the home game against West Bromwich Albion scheduled for Friday 30th August has been moved to Thursday 5th September (kick off 2.00pm) and the away game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday 26th August now kicks off at 2.00pm.

Elsewhere, the Under-18s suffered a 2-0 loss at Fulham in their opening game of the season at the weekend. Second half goals from Jordan Evans and Moussa Dembele earned the Cottagers the three points. They host Manchester United at Clayton Wood this coming Saturday.
