TONY PULIS made one change to his starting line-up for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League encounter against midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion . . . with Matthew Etherington coming back into the side after overcoming his troublesome back problem.
The lively winger has been absent for the past few weeks having sustained the injury during the first-half of the Potters 1-0 defeat against Fulham, at Craven Cottage last month.
However, he was deemed fit enough to feature during a late fitness test, and came back into the side at the expense of defender Andy Wilkinson, who dropped down to the bench.
Asmir Begovic resumed his duties in goal, ushering a back-four which comprised of Ryan Shotton at right-back, Ryan Shawcross and Marc Wilson in the middle, and American international Geoff Cameron on the left-
Cameron Jerome, who started his third game in succession, occupied the spot on the right wing, alongside central midfielders Steven Nzonzi, Glenn Whelan and the returning Etherington.
England international Peter Crouch partnered leading goal-scorer Jonathan Walters in attack.
STOKE CITY: Begovic; Shotton, Shawcross (c), Wilson, Cameron; Jerome, Nzonzi, Whelan, Etherington; Walters, Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Whitehead, Adam, Kightly, Jones, Owen.
