Potters to take on Championship high-flyers in FA Cup

STOKE CITY will kick off this season's FA Cup campaign against nPower Championship high-flyers Crystal Palace . . . after the draw for the Third Round was made on Sunday afternoon.

The Potters, who famously reached the Final of the competition for the first time in 2011, will travel to South London over the weekend of 5th/6th January, 2013.

The tie was the first to be drawn out of the hat at Wembley Stadium, and it will mark the Potters' first trip to Selhurst Park since a 3-1 victory for Tony Pulis' side in October 2007.

Palace, who sat top of the league at the time of the draw, have made a superb start to the campaign having picked up 40 points from their opening 20 games.

Other standout ties include Manchester United's trip to Premier League rivals West Ham, Liverpool face an intriguing clash with either Lincoln or Mansfield, whilst holders Chelsea travel to Southampton.

The Club will announce more information and ticket details in due course.
