STOKE CITY have been presented with a commemorative plaque by the Football League to mark the Club's 125-year status as founder members.
The memorial celebrates the Potters' involvement in the establishment of The Football League in 1888.
City's Chief Executive Tony Scholes accepted the founder member blue plaque on behalf of the Club during the half-time interval of the Capital One Cup Quarter-Final with Manchester United. The presentation was made by The Football League's Independent Director, Richard Bowker.
He said: "As a Club, we are proud and honoured to be founder members of the oldest professional football league in the world.
"I would like to thank The Football League for marking the occasion with a plaque that will forever recognise the history and heritage of both the Football League and Stoke City."
