STOKE CITY handed debuts to new signings Michael Kightly and Geoff Cameron for their final pre-season game against Sp Vgg Greuther Furth in Germany.
Kightly, who completed his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this week, was expected to line up on the left hand side in the absence of Matthew Etherington, while Cameron lined up in the centre of midfield after being granted a work permit.
Manager Tony Pulis also included winger Jermaine Pennant who had recovered from the thigh injury which he sustained during a pre-season game two weeks ago.
And there was also a place in the starting line-up for Andy Wilkinson, who was now over the hamstring strain which he picked up in the United States.
More encouraging news came from back home where defender Robert Huth left hospital following his bout of viral meningitis and he expects to resume training next week.
