A look at the previous history between ourselves and the Villans...

TOMORROW AFTERNOON'S hotly-anticipated encounter represents the 112th meeting in all competitions between the two sides.

Despite the Potters coming into the match as favourites to claim all three points it is the visitors who will be buoyed by previous history, having recorded 50 victories in all competitions as opposed to the 31 City triumphs.

Throughout the modern day Premier League era however, it is ourselves who hold the narrow advantage having claimed four wins to Villa’s two, with the other six encounters all finishing in stalemate.

100 of those 112 previous fixtures have occurred in the league, so take a look at all of the past history as #pottersmag trawls through the footballing archives to dig up some information ahead of the 2014/15 curtain-raiser
