Club looking for family homes for their young Academy players

Stoke City Football Club are looking for family homes that could accommodate young players who need to live away from home to undertake their training at our Academy.

Our Club is committed to Equal Opportunities as well as safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

The actual accommodation needed is either one or two separate bedrooms, to pair scholars together where possible. There must be easy access to public transport and be within a reasonable distance from our Training Ground Facility at Clayton Wood.

Our placements vary from short term to long term. You can apply for short term accommodation offering short notice accommodation for trialists or holiday cover for other host families. Or you can apply for long term accommodation providing accommodation on a season long basis from July to May.

A monthly fee is payable to the host family for the duration of the placement. (Not including holiday periods where the scholar has to be placed elsewhere.)

All applicants will be required to undergo full assessment with our Head of Education and Welfare and our Children’s Services Officer before consideration can be made as to suitability. Further, please be aware that this position is subject to a Criminal Records Disclosure and that all those aged 18 and above who are resident in the accommodation will be required to undertake this disclosure at an enhanced level.
