KC Stadium | Hull | HU3 6HU
Kingston Communications Stadium
THE KC Stadium was constructed almost 12-years ago at a cost of almost £45 million and was designed by the Miller Partnership, who also drew the plans for the Britannia Stadium.
The council-owned stadium was officially opened on 18th December 2002, when the Tigers entertained Sunderland in a friendly game.
The fully-enclosed all-seating arena boasts a capacity of almost 25,500, with three sides of the stadium being a single tier, whilst the West Stand houses a second tier similar to the Britannia Stadium.
The stadium is shared with one of the city's rugby league clubs, Hull FC, and also has a 1,500 seater indoor arena, a skate park, all weather pitches, health club and library, and is set amongst 34 acres of parkland.
From the Britannia Stadium take the A50 eastbound to join the M1 (signposted Nottingham, M1 north).
At Junction 32, branch left to join the M18 (signposted The North, Doncaster, Hull).
Continue on the M18 beyond Doncaster North Services to join the M62 (signposted Goole, York, Hull).
Cross the River Ouse Bridge and after 9 miles join the A63 (signposted Hull, Beverley, Humber Bridge).
Continue under the Humber Bridge on the A63 into Clive Sullivan Way.
Exit onto the slip-road before the fly-over (signposted local traffic, infirmary and KC Stadium).
At the next roundabout, take the 2nd left into Rawling Way.
At the next set of traffic lights, with the hospital in front, take a left turn onto the A1105 Anlaby Road.
Continue over the fly-over and take a right turn into Walton Street, where the stadium will be right in front of you.
The Humberside Police wish to advise City supporters travelling to the game that there will be road closures and restricted access to local pubs and clubs in the vicinity of the KC Stadium.
An official car park with 1100 spaces is situated adjacent to the stadium. Apart from that, parking is limited, particularly in rural areas where residents-only parking schemes apply.
The KC Stadium is 137 miles away from the Britannia Stadium, with an approximate travel time of 2 hours 30 minutes.
