THE BRITANNIA STADIUM will provide the venue for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice Light up a Life Community Remembrance event on Sunday.
The event is an opportunity to remember loved ones as the festive period gathers pace and helps raise valuable funds for the hospice, which is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Donors can pay for a Christmas light to go up on a tree at the Hospice in memory of a loved one. Last year saw around 6,000 lights attached to the tree.
Sunday’s event at the Britannia Stadium will get underway at 3.30pm, with gates open from 2pm onwards. It is a non-ticketed event and you are welcome just to come along on the day. The minimum suggested donation is £1 per person on entry.
