Mark Bowen confirms Potters pair could be in line to feature...

MARK BOWEN has revealed that Marko Arnautovic and Marc Wilson are back in contention to feature against Swansea City tomorrow night following their weekend lay-offs.

The pair were both absent from the side that secured a creditable 2-2 draw against Southampton on the South Coast on Saturday through injury and illness.

Arnautovic was nursing a knock to ankle he sustained during the 2-1 triumph over Manchester United a week earlier, whilst Republic of Ireland ace Wilson was suffering from a chest infection.

“Both of the lads should be available for the game on Wednesday which is good news for us,” the Assistant Manager told Stoke City Player.

“They both trained with the group on Monday and came through that session fine, and they will be training with us again today.

“As long as they come through this final session ok then they will be in the manager’s plans for the match.”

He added: “The only one who is still side-lined is Robert Huth, but he is edging closer and hopefully in the ten days before the Manchester City game he can join in full training too, which will be a big bonus.”

Meanwhile, Bowen, who was born and raised just outside Swansea, is hoping the players can maintain their good run of form and add three further points to the four they have accumulated in their previous two matches.

“It’s been a good ten days for us, and we want to build upon that, take the game to Swansea and hopefully come away with another huge three points,” he said.

“Beating Manchester United and then going and taking a point from a tough fixture down at Southampton has set us up nicely for this game.

“I know I keep saying it but this is another huge game for us, and, pray to god, if we can get the result we want, it should put us in a nice position going into the little break we have.”
