Lee Mason to referee Saturday's game at the Etihad
LEE MASON will referee Stoke City's Barclays Premier League game against Manchester City this weekend.
The Bolton-born official takes charge of his third match of the season following a double header down in the capital.
He oversaw Millwall's 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage before returning south a week later for Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Leicester City at Stamford Bridge, booking just four players in total.
Last season, he refereed Stoke's 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford and the 1-0 reverse to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Mason also officiated Manchester City's 2-1 home win over Liverpool and their 2-0 victory at Hull City - a game where he sent off captain Vincent Kompany - before ending the campaign at Wembley Stadium for QPR's 1-0 Championship Play-Off Final win over Derby County.
