Another organisation signs up for next month's two-day event

Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership have become the latest organisation to sign-up for next month’s Britannia Stadium Big Motor Show.

The Partnership, whose members include Staffordshire Police, Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire Fire Service, are committed to reducing the number of people seriously injured or killed on the county’s roads.

Participating in the Stoke City’s first ever Big Motor Show on September 7 and 8 will enable them to engage with the community of Staffordshire offering road safety advice and education.

Their stand will include examples of the work done by the Partnership and activities from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and Routes Puppetry.  They will also have an interactive table top simulator where visitors can test driving skills.

Staffordshire Police will be raising awareness to the consequences of uninsured vehicles, along with road safety and crime prevention advice. On Saturday only the Police will be offering Bikesafe taster rides for motorcyclists.

Staffordshire Fire Service will be on hand to discuss any concerns and offer practical advice on how to reduce the likelihood of being involved in a road traffic collision. They will also be sharing with visitors the proactive work they do to try to reduce road traffic collisions.

Admission to the Big Motor Show is free and there will also be free parking for up to 1,000 cars.

As well as new and used cars, caravans and motorcycles will also be on display. There will also be a fun fair, live entertainment, Carlsberg beer tent, food court and demonstration areas for visitors to get behind the wheel and take a test drive.
