MARK HUGHES made two changes to his starting line-up for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash against Everton at Goodison Park.
Marko Arnautovic and Robert Huth were both unavailable through injury, meaning that Marc Muniesa was handed his Premier League debut whilst Oussama Assaidi was also recalled into the starting eleven.
The rest of the side remained unchanged from the one that recorded a deserved 2-0 triumph over Sunderland seven days earlier.
Bosnian international Asmir Begovic ushered a back four that comprised of Geoff Cameron at right back, Muniesa and skipper Ryan Shawcross in the middle and Dutchman Erik Pieters on the left.
Glenn Whelan sat in the defensive midfield role with both Charlie Adam and Steven Nzonzi positioned slightly further forward.
Lifelong Evertonian Jon Walters continued on the right hand side of a front three, Assaidi slotted in on the left, and Peter Crouch continued in the central striking role.
Stoke City: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross (c), Muniesa, Pieters; Walters, Nzonzi, Whelan, Adam, Assaidi; Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Wilson, Palacios, Ireland, Shea, Jones.
