Pulis makes three changes for Loftus Road clash

TONY PULIS recalled record signing Peter Crouch and welcomed back Marc Wilson for the crucial Barclays Premier League match at Queens Park Rangers.

Crouch, a boyhood Rangers supporter and former Loftus Road player, was preferred to Kenwyne Jones in spearheading the City attack in a 4-5-1 formation.

Pulis was also boosted by the return of Wilson at left back, meaning that American international Geoff Cameron dropped down to the substitutes’ bench.

While Wilson had recovered from a hamstring strain, there was still no Matthew Etherington, whose back injury was not risked, so the Potters were expected to line up with Jonathan Walters and Cameron Jerome occupying the wide positions.

Rangers: Green, Bosingwa, Samba, Hill, Ben Haim, Hoilett, Derry, Mbia, Taarabt, Townsend, Remy. Subs: Cesar, Diakite, Park, Mackie, Granero, Onuoha, Bothroyd.

City: Begovic, Shotton, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson, Jerome, Whelan, Nzonzi, Adam, Walters, Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Cameron, Jones, Owen, Whitehead, Kightly, Wilkinson.

Referee: C. Foy
