Club to auction off signed shirts for Poppy Appeal

STOKE CITY will hold a minute’s silence before today’s Barclays Premier League match against Queens Park Rangers for Remembrance Day.

It is part of the Club’s support of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and in particular the North Staffordshire branch’s bid to raise £500,000.

City’s players will be wearing home shirts bearing a Poppy and these will be auctioned off on the Club’s website next week for the Poppy Appeal.

A similar auction of the shirts signed by each individual player in the Club’s 25-man Premier League squad last year raised more than £8,000.

They will be hoping to raise as much, if not more, from the bidding this time and details of the auction will be announced next week.
