TONIGHT's Central League Cup match between Stoke City and Tranmere Rovers has been called-off due to a waterlogged pitch.
The game had been scheduled to go ahead with a 7pm kick-off, but adverse conditions at Prenton Park today have put paid to the fixture.
The Potters currently sit 4th in the Group A table, having already faced Morecambe, Rotherham United and Fleetwood Town this season.
City's squad for the game was expected to be largely made up of Under-21s and Under-18s players.
The Elite Development Squad's next scheduled game is away at Newcastle United this coming Friday, while the Under-18s welcome Liverpool to Clayton Wood Training Ground next Tuesday.
