High number of young fans among new Season Ticket holders

THE GROWTH of a younger generation within Stoke City’s supporter base has continued in the early stages of the Early Bird Season Ticket campaign.

The Club have reported that almost 40 per cent of new Season Ticket holders who have secured their seat for next season are under the age of 21 years.

City are therefore encouraged that a trend which has developed in recent seasons, one which has seen the number of Season Ticket holders under-21 rising to 25%, will continue in the 2013-14 campaign with a further increase in the younger generation.

Another pleasing statistic of Early Bird sales in the first two weeks of the campaign is that 10% of those making that commitment are new Season Ticket holders.

City’s Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “The Club has worked very hard on initiatives to attract a younger generation of fans and make a Season Ticket as affordable as possible for families, so we are pleased to see the results so far in this Early Bird period.

“City 7s has been the flagship scheme of this drive for some time and we have seen record numbers of Year Two children register with it over the past two years.”

The Club launched the Early Bird sales period two weeks ago after confirming that Season Ticket prices for 2013-14 had been frozen for a sixth successive year.

Supporters have until Wednesday 20th March to obtain their Season Ticket at Early Bird prices which they would have paid back in the Championship days.

On top of the fact that the price has, in real terms, gone down over that six-year period, supporters are also being given the chance to purchase two guest tickets at £10.00 each for a designated home match, adding even more value to this fantastic package.

The savings that can be made with an Early Bird Season Ticket effectively mean that those securing their seat at the Britannia Stadium for the 2013-14 season can watch at least seven matches FREE of charge, with adults paying as little as £18.10 per game.

There are also some extremely attractive offers for juniors in the Family Area with an adult and under-14 Season Ticket a combined price of £23.00 per game, while an adult and under-11 Season Ticket effectively working out at £21.00 per game.

Fans are reminded that the easiest way to obtain their Season Ticket is online at scfcdirect.com; a service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week right up until the deadline for the Early Bird sales period on Wednesday 20th March.

The Club are also offering supporters the option to spread the cost of their Season Ticket once again; they can either take out a four-month, interest-free payment plan or pay the amount over ten instalments with interest.
