Seven changes for City against Philadelphia Union

BREK SHEA was thrust straight into the Stoke City starting line-up for Tuesday's final pre-season friendly in the United States against MLS side Philadelphia Union.

The former FC Dallas winger, who secured Gold Cup glory for his native with a second half strike against Panama on Sunday, lined up on the left hand side of midfield as boss Mark Hughes made seven changes to his side.

Denmark international Thomas Sorensen started in goal for the visitors, ushering a back four that comprised of skipper Ryan Shawcross and Robert Huth in the middle and Ryan Shotton and Marc Muniesa in the full-back roles.

In midfield Michael Kightly lined up on the right hand side alongside Marc Wilson, Glenn Whelan and Steven N'Zonzi, with Shea on the left.

Cameron Jerome came in to replace Kenwyne Jones in attack.
