Midfielder Nzonzi looking for the Potters to bounce back against the Baggies

STEVEN NZONZI is confident Stoke City can arrest their run of three successive defeats when they face West Brom at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

The Potters have spent the past fortnight licking their wounds after tumbling to a 1-0 defeat at Fulham they hardly deserved.

Mark Hughes’ men dominated for much of the game at Craven Cottage but were unable to convert any of the goal-scoring chances that came their way.

Midfielder Nzonzi insists confidence in the Stoke camp remains buoyant and is targeting a return to winning ways against the Baggies, who will arrive in Staffordshire on the back of a win at Manchester United and a home draw with Arsenal.

Speaking in the Club’s matchday magazine #pottersmag, the 24 year old insists: “No game in the Premier League is easy. Whether you play at home to a side at the bottom of the table or away at a team who are challenging at the top, you always know that anything less than your best will more often than not result in a defeat.

“That is how tight and how good the quality is in the Premier League. West Brom are a very good team and they have a lot of top players. They have had a couple of very good results, and they will come here confident of keeping that run going.

“But, despite our results, we feel that we have been playing well too, and this is a game that we know we are capable of winning if we can perform the way that we have done in many games so far this season. It will be tough, just as any game is, but it is one that we can win.”

Tickets for Saturday’s game are available via the usual outlets - by visiting scfcdirect.com, by calling (01782) 367599 or from the Britannia Stadium Ticket Office, the Club’s retail outlet in the Potteries Shopping Centre or the newly-opened ‘pop up’ store in the Roebuck Shopping Centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
