City stars to feature in special darts exhibition

HOW DO you fancy mixing with the stars from the two most-watched sports on Sky television next week?

Well if you do, then the Britannia Stadium is the only place to be, as it hosts the first-ever ‘Big Darts Night’ on Monday 8th April.

Double World Champion and double World Cup winner Adrian ‘Jackpot’ Lewis will be joined by the current world number ten, and Pro-Tour Order of Merit Champion, Dave ‘Chizzy’ Chisnall at the special exhibition.

The two PDC stars will act as team captains inside the Tony Waddington Suite, with both players mentoring a trio of current Stoke City stars, as they battle to come out victorious in front of an anticipated sold out crowd.

Peter Crouch, Asmir Begovic, Charlie Adam and United States duo Brek Shea and Geoff Cameron have already confirmed their attendance at the evening.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition, lifelong Stoke City supporter Adrian Lewis said that he was already excited at the prospect of stepping  up to the oche at the home of his beloved Potters.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” the 27-year-old smiled. “It’s always been a dream of mine to play darts at the Britannia Stadium, so for it to be happening is absolutely incredible.

“I’m not too sure of the level of the players, but I’m certain that the lads I get in my team will have enough in the locker to come out on top.

“I will probably be more nervous throwing in-front of the Stoke players than I would be in front of 10,000 people in the Premier League. But, it’s going to be a great evening and I can’t wait for it.”

Tickets for the exhibition, which will be compered by Sky Sports’ commentator John Gwynne, are now on sale, priced at just £25 per person. This includes entry, and a dinner of pie, mash and peas.
