All the facts ahead of Wednesday's big game

ON THE SPOT: There have been three penalties in the last four Premier League meetings between Stoke and Newcastle.

DOUBLE UP: Stoke and Newcastle have met in three Premier League campaigns; the first saw two draws, the second two Stoke wins and the last two victories for Newcastle.

HOTSHOT: Demba Ba has scored four goals in three Premier League appearances against Stoke after nearly joining the Potters in January 2011.

HOWARD’S WAY: Stoke have only lost two of their 13 Premier League games with Howard Webb as the referee (W4 D7 L2).

TOUGH GOING: Since Newcastle boss Alan Pardew signed his new eight-year contract, the Magpies have won just one of their eight Premier League games (D3 L4).

AWAY DAY BLUES: On the road, the Magpies are now without a victory in seven Premier League games, losing three and drawing four.

STEAMING: Jonathan Walters will start his 67th consecutive league game on Wednesday night, if he is selected to feature by Tony Pulis. This run is the longest by an outfield player in the Barclays Premier League.

POINTLESS: Newcastle have not lost four Premier League games in a row since September 2008.

BLACKOUT: Tony Pulis’ side have failed to win any of their last seven nighttime matches at the Britannia Stadium in all competitions. The last evening league victory was a 3-0 thumping of Wolves in April, 2011.

UNBROKEN: The Potters have only conceded one goal at the Britannia Stadium in their six league games this season. Since Javi Martinez scored for Manchester City in September, the side have gone 415 minutes without conceding.
