Fans Urged To Submit Entries For Time Capsule

STOKE CITY have unveiled plans to bury a time capsule at the Britannia Stadium to mark their 150th anniversary . . . and want supporters to play an active part in creating it.

One of the items which will be included in the capsule will be a scrapbook of the 2012-13 season capturing all the key moments of a prestigious landmark in the Club’s history.

City have teamed up with the Sentinel to launch the search to find the best scrapbook which is put together by Potters supporters over the course of the coming season.

Newspaper cuttings of the match reports carried by the Sentinel over the course of their fifth campaign in the Barclays Premier League should form part of the content, but fans will also be encouraged to use their own creative style in putting the scrapbook together.

Ahead of City’s opening Premier League fixture against Reading, supporters are being urged to start collecting mementos from the season to include in their particular anthology.

An announcement will be made at a later stage about when the judging will take place to determine the winning entry before the scrapbook is added to other items which are likely to be included in the time capsule such as the home and away kits from the 2012-13 season.

Supporters will also have the opportunity to nominate their own memorabilia for burial in the capsule along with matchday programmes and memorable photographs.

Once the time capsule has been set in place at the Britannia Stadium, it will remain there for the next 50 years until the Club celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2063.
