TONY PULIS isn’t planning on making any drastic changes to his side for this weekend’s Barclays Premier League encounter with Queens Park Rangers . . . despite registering just one top-flight victory from their opening ten games.

The Stoke City boss believes the players have been left to rue a lack of lady luck during the opening months of the new campaign, and remains insistent that results will soon start to turn as long as the players maintain their current levels of performance.

“I honestly don’t think there is too much wrong with the side at the moment, other than getting that little bit of luck in front of goal,” the Welshman said at Thursday morning’s pre-match press conference.

“We have played as well as, if not better than we have at any other point in the Premier League, but obviously it’s a results business. We are creating chances but for one reason or another they just aren’t hitting the

back of the net.

“At Norwich last time out, I thought we were without doubt the better team, especially during the second half. We looked like we were the home team. Kenwyne missed a couple of great chances and Jon missed one too.”

He added: “I will look at things for Saturday’s game but like I said I really don’t think there is too much wrong. We just have to improve in the final third, and that is something we are working on doing.”

Pulis confirmed that he will have a relatively fully-fit squad at his disposal for the game against Mark Hughes’ side, missing only long term absentee Marc Wilson and midfielder Rory Delap, who is set to undergo a minor

operation.

“Rory won’t feature at all this weekend,” he added. “He has been struggling for a couple of weeks now and it looks like he will have to have a hernia operation to clear out a little problem. Other than that, with the

exception of Marc obviously, everyone else is available.”
