ASMIR BEGOVIC has added another accolade to his impressive collection after being honoured by his home nation.
Stoke City's highly-rated goalkeeper has been voted 'Idol of the Nation' 2012-13 after helpingBosnia and Herzegovinamove to within sight of qualifying for next year's World Cup finals for the first time in their history.
In scooping the title, the 25-year-old ended the three-year reign of Manchester City striker Edin Džeko and added to the four awards he picked up at the Potters' End of Season Awards Dinner last month.
Begovic, whohas only conceded three goalsin World Cup qualifying,said: "This award is a great honour and an obligation. I have to justify the confidence and the best way to do that is reaching the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil."
The former Portsmouth man enhanced his considerable reputation last season when he was ever-present in the Premier League for Stoke.
His impressive form was rewarded when he carried off three 'Player of the Year' awards and shared the Coaching Staff's award with skipper Ryan Shawcross.
