'Big' Change For Supporters

STOKE CITY will launch their new Electronic Access and Loyalty System at the Britannia Stadium Big Event on Sunday . . . following a link-up with leading sports membership providers TeamCard ahead of the 2013-14 season.

The biggest change resulting from the introduction of the latest technology means that Season Ticket holders will receive a Stoke City Season Card for the forthcoming Premier League campaign rather than a traditional booklet.

All tickets for the Big Event featuring a Celebrity Match and performance by JLS will use a barcode for access to the stadium.

The move will not only make matchday entry to the Britannia Stadium considerably easier using the electronic access system, it will also enable fans to accumulate loyalty points for their membership whenever they make a purchase.

"This is an important step forward for the Club in endeavouring to provide the best possible customer experience for all our supporters," commented Richard Smith, the Managing Director of Stoke City Property Ltd.

"It signals an end to Season Tickets as we have known them for so long because supporters will be receiving a card rather than a booklet, but they will soon begin to see the benefits of this change through the points they earn.

"TeamCard are market leaders in this field and have associations with many clubs including Chelsea, Celtic, Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers, so we are confident we are putting in place a system which ensure everyone is a winner."

The Stoke City Season Card will mean that supporters can take advantage of the chance to save money on the cost of their football.

As well as accumulating points from purchases that they make with the Club, they will also be able to shop online at Team Street,, the official shopping portal for all TeamCard holders with hundreds of big name retail partners.

Randal McLister, Managing Director, Scotcomms Technology Group, said: "We are delighted that Stoke City has selected our TeamCard solution.

"It will become a key part of the Club's strategy to enhance the experience of their legendary fans by providing a range of additional benefits that will reward and acknowledge their support."

Further information will be sent to supporters on both accumulation and redemption of points before the start of the 2013-14 season.
