EMMERDALE ACTOR Adam Thomas has followed his older brother's example by signing up to take part in the Britannia Stadium Big Event on 2nd June, sponsored by Listers and Q-Railing.

Thomas, who plays Adam Barton in the ITV soap, will line-up for the LivSmarter Allstars in a game against a Stoke City Legends XI alongside big brother Ryan, who plays Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street.

Two other 'Corrie' stars - Alan Halsall and Chris Fountain - and Hollyoaks' Jamie Lomas and Ashley Taylor Dawson will also put their wits against the City Legends.

Ian Clarkson has become the latest ex-Potters player to join Mark Stein, Steve Simonsen and Dave Regis in the Legends squad that will be managed by Denis Smith for the big game that's just part of a fun-packed family day that also features a performance by JLS.

The world's biggest boy band will treat those attending the Big Event to a selection of their greatest hits, having had five UK number ones since they emerged as runners-up on the television reality show The X-Factor.

After five years of phenomenal success, JLS recently announced they will be splitting up at the end of this year, creating a clamour for opportunities to see them perform before going their separate ways.
