Dutch star completes permanent switch...
BRUNO MARTINS-INDI has today made a welcome return to the bet365 Stadium after completing a permanent switch from FC Porto.
The Dutch international, who spent last season on loan with the Potters, has signed a five-year contract after the Club agreed to pay €7.7 million for his services.
The hugely popular 25-year-old established himself as a key figure in Mark Hughes’ defence last season as he made 35 league and cup appearances, scoring once.
Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: “We are delighted to have secured a deal to bring Bruno to the Club in a permanent transfer and I know that Bruno feels the same.
“Bruno loved being with us last season and made no secret of his desire to move here permanently when his loan spell came to an end. We’ve had to be patient in our dealings with Porto but we’re really pleased with the outcome.”
