Butland Called Up

STOKE CITY goalkeeper Jack Butland has been selected in the latest England Under 21 squad for their forthcoming UEFA European Championship Qualifying matches.
 
The 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Championship side Barnsley, received notification of his inclusion in Gareth Southgate's squad for the two matches against San Marino and Lithuania on Thursday.
 
The former Birmingham man, has impressed in his two games for the Tykes this season, and will be hoping to maintain that form for the Three Lions as they bid to secure a spot in the Finals, which take place in Czech Republic in June 2015.
 
The Under 21s travel to San Marino for the first game on Thursday 10 October (19:30), before returning to England to host Lithuania at Ipswich Town's Portman Road on Tuesday 15 October (18:00).
