City Stars Set For Friendly Fire

AS THE start of the World Cup Finals edge ever closer, four members of the Potters squad are set to be in action this weekend as their respective nations put the final touches to their preparations.

On Saturday evening Geoff Cameron and Peter Odemwingie will come up in direct competition as the United States of America face Nigeria at the EverBank Field in Jacksonville.

Elsewhere tomorrow night, Wilson Palacios' Honduras provide the opposition for Roy Hodgson's England in Miami at the Sun Life Stadium before both teams fly out to South America.

Sunday will see Asmir Begovic don the gloves for Bosnia and Herzgovina as they take on Santos' Under-20s for their final friendly ahead of the tournament getting underway after already arriving at their training base in Brazil.

Meanwhile, Marc Wilson and Glenn Whelan are set to feature for the Republic of Ireland against Costa Rica in the early hours of Saturday morning in America, with fellow City player Jon Walters set to sit out the friendly after suffering a stomach bug.
