Encouraging News About Huth

STOKE CITY have today received encouraging news about the condition of defender Robert Huth after he was rushed into hospital earlier this week.

Further tests on the German international defender have revealed that he is suffering from viral meningitis, which is the milder form of the illness.

The 27-year-old will remain in hospital for the next few days while he completes a course of antibiotics, but he is progressing well in his recovery.

Although it is too early to predict the length of Huth's absence, it is likely to be at least two weeks before he is available to return to action.
