PETER CROUCH has signed a new Stoke City contract, the Club are delighted to announce.

The former England striker's existing deal was due to expire at the end of this season but he is now committed to the Potters until at least the summer of 2018.

Crouch has scored twice in his last two league outings, taking his career tally of Premier League goals to 98 and underlining his continuing value to Mark Hughes.

City Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: "Peter still has a great deal to offer us as a player and we are pleased he has decided to extend his stay with us."

Crouch joined the Potters in August 2011 for a then Club record £10million and has scored 49 goals in 186 appearances.
