STOKE CITY are offering free football sessions to youngsters in the local area at the end of the month.

'Kicks' football sessions will be available for those aged 11 and over from Monday 21st to Friday 25th July in both Fenton and Weston Coyney.

They will be held from 3.30pm to 4.30pm at Mount Pleasant Park sports court in Fenton and from 5.00pm to 6.00pm at Weston Heights play area in Weston Coyney.

The Club's Community Trust are partnering with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Sport England and Creating Chances for programme, which gives a series of fun-filled activities to youngsters in the summer holidays.

It forms part of the successful Flames Aren't Games initiative which aims to discourage young people from deliberately setting grass fires.

Adrian Hurst, Stoke's Head of Community, said, "The summer holidays can be a costly and difficult time to keep young people engaged and entertained.

"Our 'Kicks' programme provides young people with the opportunity to participate in a range of positive activities."

Places are limited and booking must be made in advance.
