ROBERT HUTH and Marko Arnautovic will be absent as Stoke City go in search of a second successive Premier League win at Everton on Saturday.
Manager Mark Hughes has been forced to rule central defender Huth and front man Arnautovic out of the trip to Goodison Park due to knee and hamstring injuries respectively.
It represents a significant blow for the Potters as they look to build on last weekend's 2-0 win over Sunderland - their first in nine Premier League outings.
However, there's better news on midfielder Stephen Ireland who will return to the City squad after missing the Sunderland game with a shin injury.
Hughes told Stoke City Player: "Stephen has been training, so he's available for the game at Everton.
"Robert didn't complete the game last weekend and hasn't been able to train at all this week, so he's not going to be available.
"He's got a little bit of an issue that we're going to try and manage initially. Obviously, if that doesn't work he will probably need the knee seeing to.
"We're hopeful that with the work that he's doing the medical team we'll be able to settle it down and he'll be able to play again.
"Marko is also unavailable as he's got a hamstring strain that will keep him out for a couple of weeks."
