In Readiness For Rod

PREPARATIONS FOR Rod Stewart's eagerly-anticipated concert at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday are gathering pace.

The legendary Scottish rocker is returning to the Potteries for the first time in four decades and is set to perform in front of a near capacity crowd.

Work to erect the stage in front of the Novus Stand will get underway within the next 24 hours, while protective boards are being laid to protect the Potters' playing surface before temporary seating is installed.

Extra tickets have been made available to meet the phenomenal demand, raising the capacity to 22,000, as Rod returns to the city for the first time since appearing with The Faces in December 1974.

Tickets for the Britannia Stadium show are available from or by calling 0844 888 9991.

Car parking is also available at the stadium with unreserved spaces available for those with tickets for the event across West 1, West 2, North and South car parks, priced at £10 each and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Spaces can be purchased in person at the Britannia Stadium Ticket Office or by calling (01782) 367599.
