AN UP-AND-COMING local band will be providing the support to headline act JLS at the Britannia Stadium Big Event.

The Indieannas, a four-piece Indie-Dance/Rock band from Buxton, will be stepping into the limelight at the Big Event on 2nd June, sponsored by Listers and Q-Railing.

They have been together since 2009 and have committed their lives to making an impact in the world of music.

Band manager Paul White said: "They practice twice a week for three hours solid, on top of their full time jobs. They all get on so well and are such good friends; it really comes through when they're on stage."
Last year the band won an online competition and was given the opportunity to perform on stage at the Y-Not Festival where Bastille and Jake Bugg have previously headlined.

Other acts will be performing on the day before JLS wow the crowd.

The world's biggest boy band will treat those attending the Big Event to a selection of their greatest hits, having had five UK number ones since they emerged as runners-up on the television reality show The X-Factor.

After five years of phenomenal success, JLS recently announced they will be splitting up at the end of this year, creating a clamour for opportunities to see them perform before going their separate ways.

The Big Event will also include a game between a team made up of Stoke City Legends and the LivSmarter Allstars celebrity line-up.
