Ladies Title Clincher Tonight

STOKE CITY LADIES' could clinch the second part of a historic treble tonight . . . by winning their league title decider against Leafield Athletic.

The Potters face rivals Leafield at Stone Dominoes (kick off 7.45pm) knowing that a win will ensure them the Championship with three games to spare.

City currently have an eleven point lead over Radcliffe Olympic with four games remaining, whilst Leafield are four points back with two games in hand.

All permutations will be rendered obsolete should they pick up the win and the team can then look forward to playing at least a division higher next season.

Promotion should secure them passage to either the Premier League North or South regional divisions, whilst they have also applied for a place in a proposed second tier of the summer Women's Super League scheduled to get underway in 2014.

Last week, the first team scooped the Staffordshire County Cup for the sixth time in seven years and face Leafield again in the League Cup Final at the end of the season.
