Legend Returns For Big Event

Thumbnail
DENIS SMITH is to play a key role in the Britannia Stadium Big Event on 2nd June, sponsored by Listers and Q-Railing.

The ex-Potters hero is to take charge of the Stoke City Legends line-up that will face the LivSmarters Allstars in a match which is part of the fun-packed day that also features a performance by chart-toppers JLS.

Smith's Legends squad will include Mark Stein, Steve Simonsen and Dave Regis, while Jamie Lomas has become the latest celebrity to sign up for the Allstars team.

Lomas, who played Hollyoaks bad boy Warren Fox and also appeared in Sky's Dream Team, joins Coronation Street Alan Halsall, Chris Fountain and Ryan Thomas and Hollyoaks' Ashley Taylor Dawson in the celebrity XI.

The game will be followed by the undoubted highlight of the fun-packed day, a first ever performance by JLS in the Potteries.

The world's biggest boy band will treat those attending the Big Event to a selection of their greatest hits, having had five UK number ones since they emerged as runners-up on the television reality show The X-Factor.

After five years of phenomenal success, JLS recently announced they will be splitting up at the end of this year, creating a clamour for opportunities to see them perform before going their separate ways.
