Mark's Scouting Trip

MARK HUGHES is hoping to watch his new Stoke City signing Marko Arnautovic in action for his country next week.

The Potters boss is planning on flying to Vienna to watch the forward in World Cup qualifying action for Austria against a Republic of Ireland side that could include City trio Jon Walters, Glenn Whelan and Marc Wilson.

Arnautovic completed his move to the Britannia Stadium from Werder Bremen on Monday before linking up with the Austrian squad.

Hughes said: "I'm hoping to get out to Vienna to see the Austria-Ireland game because we could have four guys on the pitch. That would be good to take in.

"Hopefully I can work that into the schedule and get back in time for training the next day."
